APSA and KP both serve to create a community on campus that educates and empowers their members through discussing and learning about social, cultural, political, and academic issues and identities. At GBMs, we discuss various issues that relate to the API community, such as political and social issues that are perpetuated against us and also by us. This joint GBM between APSA and KP serves to better educate our members and other members of the API community on campus about the issue of anti-blackness, particularly in the API community. We will discuss how the API community continues to perpetuate anti-blackness and what we can do to deconstruct and counter internalized anti-blackness. This GBM will also serve to better strengthen the API community on campus by providing a space for discussion and learning with members of our community.
